Shri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Maharaj who is also known as Bala Pritam by virtue of being given Guruship at the tender age of 6 years. Guruji further merged into the divine before age of 8 years, after curing the entire city of Delhi of smallpox, which took epidemic proportions in 1664.
The residents of Prateek Wisteria celebrated the Prakash Purab (birth date) of 8th Paatshahi Guru Harkrishan Maharaj with full fervour within the Society on Sunday, 23 July.
In the Holy presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sadh Sangat first recited Shri Sukhmani Sahib.
RaagiSinghs( KirtanSewadars ) from Gurudwara Sahib Sector 18 enthralled the Sadh Sangat by reciting Gurbani Kirtan. After the Kirtan, Gurbani Vichar and the brief history and life message of Guru Harkrishan Maharaj ji were shared by Katha Vachak from Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib.
Sangat from Prateek Wisteria and nearby apartments joined the celebrations and recited the holy name of the Lord.
After the program Bhog, Kadah Parshad was served among all followed by the Sikh holy meal, Guru Ka Langar.
The residents, staff of Prateek Wisteria maintenance and security cordially took the Langar together, as per Sikh principles of Pangat and community sharing.
