The Noida Kalibari Cultural Association (NBCA) hosted the vibrant Poush Mela at Kalibari Mandir grounds, celebrating Bengal’s rich traditions. The festival, marking the harvest season, recreated a Bengali village with a mud hut, a bioscope wallah, a dholki player, and a jhalmuri seller, enchanting visitors. A highlight was the potter’s wheel, where children tried their hand at clay molding. The Pithe Puli and Nimki Making competition saw enthusiastic participation from women, while young artists shone in a drawing contest. The famed Lucky Draw on Jan 12 added to the excitement. Food lovers indulged in traditional Bengali sweets and snacks, while artisan stalls displayed Taant sarees, jute bags, and handcrafted jewellery. A Sahitya Sabha fostered literary discussions, connecting readers with authors.
