The CA study circle is an active group of Charterad Accountants who keep meeting regularly at Safdarjung Club or any other common place to discuss the financial issues. The group is socially
well connected and keeps having social get togethers along with the spouses. This time too after the Central Govt declared the financial budget the study circle members decided to have the post budget analysis talk to discuss the repercussions, impact on the general public specially the senior citizens.
Annu Thapar (B4 block) was instrumental in organising this programme in public interest. The session was open for public to participate.
Around 125 CAs and senior citizens attended the meet. Talk on budget was jointly organised by Safdarjung Enclave CA study circle, South Delhi CA study circle, Bhikaji CA study circle and Efforts group. Various aspects and changes in the budget affecting the common man and senior citizens was discussed.
Key speakers were CA Avinash Gupta, past chairman Northern India Regional council, CA Sunil Arora past member NIRC.
The meeting was presided over by CA Annu Thapar. Speakers deliberated on the various measures taken by Govt for reducing fiscal deficit, generating employment and the various reliefs provided to the individual and corporate taxpayers.
The audience keenly interacted with the speakers to understand various changes affecting them and how public at large will be affected by these changes in direct and indirect taxes.
The meeting started with high tea and concluded with a lavish lunch.
