Our colony at night is divided into four quadrants by sealing some of the colony exits with the help of police barricades. Recently because of a court order stating that no unmanned police barricade is to be allowed, all barricades were taken away by the police leaving our colony porous and open to Car thefts. Our SHO Chander Shekhar supported us all through by delaying the removal of barricade but recently someone re-tweeted the court order and after the order of his superiors he had to take them away. Our security team under the leadership of Brig Kapur devised a plan and through our own resources we have been able to close the gaps by operating Boom Barriers manually and closing certain points and rest with our own available barricades. Though the security team is putting its best efforts but as an additional precaution would request residents to park their cars in their stilt parking. Cars parked outside should have either gear locks or tire locks for additional safety. Please keep your gates closed as it is often observed that our residents often leave their gates open making them vulnerable for unwanted entry. Also we request you to keep a check on your home / private guards at night. Install CCTV cameras!
