Shrubs of Drumsticks, Lemon, Amla, Pomegranate Guava were planted
Malibu Towne has not only been one of the oldest but also one of the greenest colonies of Gurgaon. Though the green cover has been impacted in the last few years due to rapid construction, the respective RWAs continue to ensure that the loss of trees is compensated with new plantations. And it’s not just the RWAs but many Nature loving residents also take it upon themselves to pitch in with their efforts.
One such family is PKD resident Amber Krishen and his wife Nisha, who have adopted the green patch across their house and have been lovingly caring for it. Recently, with the support of the RWA, Amber and his team organized a plantation drive in their vicinity. They planted many trees and shrubs such as Drumsticks, Lemon, Amla, Pomegranate, Guava etc.
These plants, in coming times, will not only increase the greenery but also provide multiple benefits to humans, birds and small animals. These will also attract pollinators and keep their population thriving. The RWA is thankful to the good samaritans and hopes that such noble and selfless acts will inspire many more to step forward and do their bit towards a better tomorrow.
