It is very rightly said that for a better tomorrow, we need to plant more trees today.
I am Sukhmani Dhillon, a resident of Sunshine Helios, and as someone who has always been passionate about the nature, I felt the best way for me to contribute is by planting trees myself.
I started planting trees around our neighbourhood back in 2021, when I planted 18 trees in-front of the Sunshine Helios boundary wall and a few trees along the boundary walls of both Sikka Karmic and Antriksh Golfview- 1 as well.
My journey definitely took a set-back in 2022, when a few plants could not survive however I made sure to employee a Mali to ensure that the rest of them continue to grow in good health and are provided with the right nutrients, manure and care in order for them to bloom.
For me, this is an investment in our future since one who plants a tree, plants hope.
This year, I again decided to put in- efforts and planted 39 saplings along the boundary walls of Sunshine and Antriksh. Existing saplings which unfortunately couldn’t survive were also replaced. The officials at the horticulture department of Noida Authority have been very helpful during my endeavours. I contacted them for tree guards to protect the newly planted trees and they very generously helped me procure them.
I hope I can continue to provide all the care required for these plants to thrive and also continue to plant more trees since it truly gives me joy to see nature bloom.
