On a fine September evening after a day of heavy rains, you may find a regular sight of 3 peachicks playing with their mother, two kittens climbing the branch of a frangipani tree, a lapwing chirping loudly on humans and one of our petite community dog Imli strolling with ongoing walkers. She turns and takes a different path when she encounters old, and joins a group of young kids who play with her every evening.
In a fast developing city like Gurgaon, between ever growing high rises and decreasing green patch, is a neighbourhood where compassion and empathy thrives! Individual with varying age gaps from 13 to 70 years old, pet parents and animal lovers come together to co-create a community for all animals that we share the earth with- a testament to everything Nirvana Country is about!
This group known as Furball* Parents operates from the depths of their heart and often come together to converse on topics ranging from discussions on pet health, best veterinary centres, dog walkers & trainers, everyday Cat & Peacock shenanigans, community dogs that need health support & some never ending fun pet stories. They are united not only by their love for their pets but also for the wagging tails we encounter our streets.
It’s a true reflection of hope and compassion at its core, aiming to revive nostalgia of the beautiful practices across to conserve and co-exist with animals & birds in an ever-decreasing green patch scenario, because what we do today will shape the future.
Nirvana is one of the loving neighbourhoods in the suburbs of Gurgaon where we see residents with human & fur children, peacocks, community dogs & cats all living in harmony! It defines how co-existence in a community can be achieved by coming together to reflect the best of humanity!
*Furball Parents is a WhatsApp community group in Nirvana.
