Pet Dogs on a Leash Are Allowed Inside the Parks

Some Residents Continue to be Against it

Noida Authority, after a lot of deliberation, withdrew its earlier policy of not allowing dogs in parks. Some notice-boards installed in the parks continue to read that dogs are barred from the park but this has been changed in principle and a notice to that effect was sent to all RWAs a long time ago. Some residents who are against pet dogs inside the park continue their tirade against allowing pets in the parks.

A few months ago, there was a clash between two residents in the Fountain Park – one was walking his pet dog and the other objected to this. The incident descended into fisticuffs between the two, though eventually it was all sorted out.

However, disagreements still continue between pet-owners and those against pet-owners walking their dogs inside the parks. Esha Kapoor reported: This incident happened with us this morning inside the Madhuban Park. Me and my husband were walking our dog when a resident came and told us harshly that dogs are not allowed in Public Parks. He was not willing to understand when he told him about this notice and that we are adhering to this.

We as responsible members on society, put a leash on our pet whenever we go out and carry a poop bag along to pick up if he defecates. He is also registered with NAPR.

We want to understand where in the policy it is mentioned that we can only walk our pets on the road and that we cannot take the pet inside the park.
