PERA AGM

PERA (Panchsheel Enclave Residents Association) AGM was conducted smoothly and concluded amicably.  However the consensus couldn’t be reached for 100 percent increase in yearly subscription.

The meeting started at the given time at 11 am after light refreshments at TT Hall of Holiday Club. Mr. Pankaj Bhardwaj welcomed the residents. As a mark of respect, before the Meeting commenced, homage was paid to the departed souls. On the onset of the meeting, Secretary Mr. Ravi Bhatia urged the members for the meeting to be amicable which was more or less followed by the residents except Sunny Chaudhry who is always vocal about his opinions and thoughts. His concerns were duly noted and he was assured that the committee will take his points into consideration. Mr. Mitroo also raised some valuable objections and gave his suggestions regarding cost cutting.

The management presented points of the work done individually till date and programmes planned further for the development and welfare of the colony. Mr. Manish Makan presented the elevated budget, which consisted mainly of doubling the expenditure on the security of the colony to provide a better security to the residents, which is slack at present. But the motion didn’t find a positive response from the residents present, as a jump of 100 percent in yearly subscription can’t be justified. Some residents are opposing the motion till now on what’s app group. Rather, they are asking for alternate solutions like start charging builders again and recover arrears from defaulters. Also, make public the list of defaulters. The name and shame could help in raising the funds. Nevertheless, the Balance sheet and the Auditors report was duly passed by the house.

Meanwhile PERA should adopt the security measures which is easily doable. Like locking the backlane gates at a stipulated time. Monitor the movements in the colony from toll gates, at the CCTV monitor installed near gate no. 3. They should also consider locking the service lane gates which are very vulnerable to trespassing by the bad elements.
