The true spirit of Christmas lies in our hearts and our hearts are at peace when we share, spread love, and spend time with our loved ones.
This Christmas I learnt an important lesson that working together leads to an incredible outcome. Winning isn’t the main aim of a competition; it is the experience of participation and doing something different.
Our team, during Christmas celebration in our society Mahagun Maestro, which included children from all age groups whether they were 3 or 14, had loads of fun participating in the notice board-making competition. Our theme was “Best out of Waste” so we used items like old bangles, spectacle cases, plastic bottles, cans, newspapers, cotton balls, leaves, twigs, etc. to create such a beautiful board.
We worked for almost 10 hours hence it was tiring but the feeling of doing something productive was definitely a magnificent experience. I felt so proud of everyone, as we had worked together and had used our imagination to make something so creative instead of having our noses buried in electronic devices.
The Christmas party, the next day, was what all of us were looking forward to after such a satisfying day. We participated in games, shared snacks with each other, and cheered for the winning teams.
All I can say is that this year we had an extraordinary and memorable Christmas.
