At PCPH AOA, we celebrated Independence Day with a range of activities that honour our history and unity. Our celebration is a tribute to our past and an opportunity to strengthen our patriotism.
The Sports Field, the celebration ground, was adorned with national flags, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Residents began gathering in traditional attire from 9 AM. The day commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the national anthem and a march past.
AOA President Manikesh Nath Tiwary addressed the gathering, reflecting on the contributions of national heroes. He also updated everyone on developmental activities that have been executed and are being planned for the future.
PCPH AOA recognized residents with mementos for their contributions to making the society healthier. This recognition serves to motivate everyone to contribute to society and uphold the values of democracy and equality.
The celebrations continued with cultural performances. Our society showcased the rich Indian cultural diversity through dances. Local artists performed classical dances such as Bharatanatyam and Kathak, while groups of children and teenagers delighted the audience with Bollywood dance routines.
AOA also organized sports activities designed to engage people of all ages. The best performers were recognized. Another celebration highlight was the community feast, featuring traditional Indian dishes such as Bedmi Puri, Sabzi, and Jalebi made with pure ghee, which provided an opportunity for socializing, further strengthening the bonds within our community.
Dinesh Kapoor, the renowned historian unveiled his literary masterpiece ‘Vibhajan aur Hatya’, launched by respected Firoz Bakht Ahmed, Ex Vice Chancellor of Hyderabad University.
Independence Day celebrations reflect reverence, cultural appreciation, and community spirit. It provides a platform for honouring our nation’s history. Jai Hind!
