After several planning sessions, what emerged was a potpourri of events. that included exhibition of community best practices, children’s visual expression through paintings on nature and the environment, talks on tree plantations and water conservation, which concluded with a cultural program. All aimed to create awareness of environmental problems confronting the world and share positive community initiatives. Paryavartan event went as follows:

On 02 June – Draw and Paint event (theme: Save Earth), curated by artist Parul Tyagi and assisted by Avantika Parnami.

Kathak Group Dance Recital by students of Natrajan Nrityakala Ashram (four students presented a technical composition ‘teervat’ and ‘tandava’dance, choreographed by their guru, Prerna Sharma). Presentation of nature and environment themed songs by Airstream Rock Band (participating singers have earlier performed in the Music in the Park events organised by Meghdutam Rangmanch).

Celebration Highlights – Anand Mohan, Director, Horticulture, had taken special interest to have children, admitted in the paediatric cancer ward of the Post Graduate Institute of Child Health in Noida, to participate in the Paint and Draw event. Drawing sheets and painting material were provided to the children in the ward itself. Around 30 children submitted their paintings that were displayed at the 05 June exhibition.

Vaishali Mehta Joshi of Meghdutam Rangmanch welcomed the Chief Guest, Satish Pal, ACEO, Noida Authority, to inaugurate the event. Mr. Pal, along with Mr. Mohan, and other dignitaries lit the auspicious lamp amidst chanting of Vedic hymns. This was followed by his address. Following which Kapil Pandey (Meghdutam Rangmanch) anchored the cultural program.

A special thanks to Mr Mohan, and his staff, for having organised the show. They left no stone unturned to set up the infrastructure and other installations in the Community Club and Cultural Centre for this event.

Meghdutam Rangmanch is proud that it was offered the opportunity to conduct the first-ever cultural program at Club 50. Noida Authority has earmarked the premises for cultural activities, evident from its name, and we hope that more such cultural events are hosted in Club 50.

P.S. A special thanks to custodians, friends and supporters of Meghdutam Rangmanch who volunteered their time and energy to make this program a success.
