Paryavaran Aur Svasthya

Environmental pollution is often dismissed as a minor inconvenience, but it affects our most basic needs—food, shelter, and clothing. As pollution intensifies, it transforms into a more serious threat. When we desire a comfortable life, a good job, and a happy family, the impact of pollution becomes undeniable. Yet, how often do we think about a clean environment as essential to that happiness? Consider the types of pollution that surround us: water, air, noise, and even festival pollution, which spikes around holidays. We’ve grown so accustomed to waste that even minor flaws in clothing can lead to them being discarded. Forests are cleared to make space for factories; rivers are polluted with waste, and hills are carved up for development. Every day, we face the consequences of these actions. And now, we stand at a crossroads—ignore it, or take meaningful steps to change. Different types of light and greenery evoke different emotions. But instead of planting trees, we continue to deplete them. We don’t even teach our children about the trade-offs we make when we choose convenience over sustainability. Let’s talk specifically about air pollution. We discuss it and then forget, leaving the problem unresolved. So, what can we do? Plant more trees, especially native ones like neem, mulberry, and peepul. True peace comes from nature; only when we live harmoniously with it do we feel genuinely fulfilled. Regardless of wealth, luxurious homes, or cars, if trees are absent from our lives, something essential is missing. Let’s plant more trees, for our own peace and the health of our planet.
