Parking People Are Back!

Sector-50 residents can park free for up to 30 min

Residents may be aware that Noida Authority has resumed parking charges in the Central Market of Sector-50. New contractor has been assigned to operate parking activities for cars and two wheelers. New display boards have been installed at various locations in the market area having information regarding chargeable amount and duration/hours.

For the last one year or so the parking was free not only in the market of our Sector but in almost all the sector markets of entire Noida. And there was no parking issue in the market despite no attendant present to manage parking. People are well aware of parking sense except a few, which was manageable.

This time one may see the new changes for managing parking and prevent traffic congestions on narrow roads around the market. Small boards have been put up alongside road adjacent to the houses of B-block indicating NO PARKING. The parking attendant promptly calls the crane to lift cars parked in that area. The vehicle is towed away and taken to the open ground near Logix City Centre. One has to visit the said site to take his/her car after paying prescribed fine/penalty.

As per message flashed on the RWA WhatsApp group, the cars having RWA 50 stickers are allowed to be parked in the parking area for up to 30 minutes without paying any parking charge. It is the privilege given to the residents of Sector-50. It is presumed that the Group Housing Society residents of ATS-1 and ATS-2, Kailash Dham, Amrapali Exotica and Rail Nagar are also given the same privilege being residents of Sector-50. In case of any problem, the office-bearers of these housing societies may also approach the contractor for extending the same privilege to their residents.

Request residents to share their experiences, good as well as not-so-good, on this platform regarding the new parking management – Whether the present parking arrangement has improved market experience or the condition without any parking regulation was better?

Our voice will motivate the contractor to improve, since they’ll be aware that parking is being monitored by the shoppers/residents on a common platform.
