Ladies Association organized February month’s picnic at their favourite Holiday Club lawns on 7th February. Since most of the ladies are reluctant to go to distant destina-tion, it was decided to organise the picnic in the comfort of Holiday Club. Everyone was dressed in colourful clothes matching with the vibrant hues of the weather. It was described as a super event by most of the ladies. The event started by chatpata chaat papri, gol- guppe, tikki, cheela, paav- bhaji. Thereafter all- time favourite of the ladies was played and enjoyed by everyone. A fashion show was organised which was a head turner and a major attraction for young and old. The winners of fashion show were asked a question, “What can be your contribution to bring harmony and humility in the colony?” The young girls gave impressive answers and three were declared winners and crowned for their thoughts. It was our endeavour to get young and not so young together and strike a cordial note and relationship with each other.
Then gift distribution was held for winners of lemon race and lucky cards. There was something in store for everyone. The ladies didn’t feel a single dull moment. After the games and gifts, lunch was served. Bedmi aloo and Amritsari kulcha were the highlight. The desserts included different types of kulfis and moong dal halwa followed by hot chocolate and coffee. As soon as the picnic, the weather changed and started drizzling as if the weather Gods were waiting for the picnic to get over. A fun filled picnic which will be cherished in the times to come. A note of thanks to the Club authorities for extending good service and support to the Ladies’ Association event.
