In the previous edition of Samvada, I gave a small note informing the readers that Haryana State Chief Secretary Mr Sanjeev Kushal announced the “City Gas Distribution policy”. It was informed that under the Policy CNG/PNG distribution through pipe has been under Priority implementation.
Haryana City Gas Distribution is solely responsible for implementing the policy in the City. I have followed up with it to install the system. But, this organisation is lethargic in implementation.
My humble appeal to our MLA, Councilors, RWA executive bodies of Sushant Lok, DLF etc., to start an aggressive follow-up with this implementing organisation to implement the policy rapidly while submitting a memorandum to the Chief Secretary of the State pointing out the lethargy in implementation of the policy.
In some selected areas it has been started so why not in other colonies and HUDA sectors? Let there be a movement to get the policy implemented.
It would not be out of place to mention that model cities have already started the pipe distribution, then why not Gurgaon? It controls noise pollution involved in the transport of Gas cylinders while saving diesel being wasted in the transportation of Cylinders. To the consumer, it will also mean cost savings as these gases through pipe cost less than the LPG delivered in Cylinders.
Samvada Adds: Residents should collectively form an action group that is focussed on this particular issue and does regular follow-up with the Chief Secretary of the State to make sure that Sushant Lok gets Piped Natural Gas.
