Ayushi Singhal, the rising star of Lotus Boulevard and her school, Bal Bharti Public School Noida, trains at ITTA, Noida Stadium, under the coach, Tapas Sarkar. She bagged a Gold in the U-15 Girls and a Bronze in U-17 girls in the 2nd Delhi State Ranking tournament held from July 9 to 14, 2024 at Rajendra Place.
In the semi-finals, Ayushi defeated Dhani Jain 3-2, and, in the finals, she defeated Tushti Sood in a contested match.
Ayushi stays in T4-801 and started training in the society club about 5 years ago. Not only is she a sports star but also excels in academics; her commitment, dedication, focused attention and rigorous training help her to strike a balance between sports and academics.
Unlike the school culture a few decades back, today, schools focus on the children’s holistic development where excellence in sports is given equal importance along with the scholastic areas. Ayushi gets a lot of support from her school, the sponsors and the government.
Bal Bharti Public School allows Ayushi ample flexibility to train during the school hours; her teachers assist her in studies that she misses owing to her practice sessions. She is the only player in the entire NCR who has been sponsored by Tibhar and plays with a Tibhar bat.
The 2024 Table Tennis season has just begun; we wish Ayushi the best for upcoming state and national tournaments.
