With the backdrop of some exceptional Olympic performances by our sport-sperson, we stand at the altar of our 78th Independence Day. We as a nation have come far from the Quit India movement which proved to be the plinth of our independence in 1947…
We all had goosebumps when the Tricolour was hoisted on the deck of the Red Fort and the premises of our society podium.
The cultural fiesta on the makeshift stage came alive with the participation of our youth and the elders alike. The performances of patriotic songs with melodious singing, dance performances and motivational speeches were appreciated by all, which was compered perfectly by our in-house talented Kalyani Gupta.
Vasudev Kutumbakam gets experienced in our compact societies where greetings are exchanged on this day. It’s an emotion we wear on our sleeve, and feel proud of. Ofcourse, the holiday makes us more relaxed to be in the midst of family and friends.
