Open Sewers All Over the Colony

Due to poor support by the concerned authorities (MCD and Delhi Jal Board) and the elected representatives (MLA and councilor), residents are facing huge issues with open sewers at various places in the colony. The sewer lids are now made from cement, which gets damaged with time or when there is stagnated water near these lids. If any vehicle is moved on these damaged or weak sewers in the back lanes (building material trucks, etc.), then these lids get broken and the sewers remain open for months. These sewers may result in accidents and loss of life for anyone as the service lanes are generally dark. There were a few cases reported when a few dogs and other animals fell into these sewers. We request the concerned authorities to depute their staff to conduct a detailed survey to identify these damaged sewers and get them repaired or replaced immediately.
