Trees are at quite dangerous levels in DLF 1 areas. The recent winds and rains have caused a lot of trees to fall and a lot of problems for the residents. The RWA team at H-Block has been following up with DLF for the pruning of trees that are at a certain level. Because of the monsoon, trees have overgrown due to excess water in a lot of areas. They have grown to long heights and are touching the wires. It was also witnessed that a few trees fell on the cars as well, which is indeed very saddening. Even though DLF has been approached regarding the request to do hard pruning of the trees and not only cutting the branches, a revert has been received from the forest department saying that the action of hard pruning is banned until October. The big question is: if, until then, any mishap happens, who is liable for that?
