October brought vibrant celebrations at the Senior Citizens Forum, marked by two significant events.
1. Celebration of Our Libra and Scorpio Birthdays! On the evening of the 27th, we gathered for the October Birthday Bash. Amarjeet Batra welcomed our honored birthday boys and girls with warmth and enthusiasm. She set the festive tone by leading us in the traditional birthday wishes, reminding us that “a joyful heart is the best medicine.”
The event was filled with delightful performances: a soulful poem by Pawan Talwar, a melodious song from Charu Lata Agarwal, an enchanting ghazal by H.P. Khanna, lively jokes and shayari from TPS Malhotra, and a foot-tapping number by Ajay Kumar. Each act contributed to the celebration’s spirit, proving that “music is the soul of life.” We extend special thanks to N.D. Bhasin for his generous donation to our forum and to. Vinod Kumar, who celebrated his 75th birthday by donating 75 plants. As they say, “Kindness, like a garden, grows when shared.”
The festivities culminated in a joyous cake-cutting ceremony and the presentation of birthday cards from fellow members, followed by a delightful spread of Chinese cuisine.
2. Diwali Celebration at SCF! The SCF hall was transformed for Diwali, illuminated by diyas and adorned with vibrant flowers and lights. Colorful posters conveyed the festival’s profound message of light triumphing over darkness and goodness over evil. Members enjoyed a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, sharing sweets and laughter, beautifully capturing the essence of Diwali. “Together we shine brighter!”
