Nuisance of Online/ No Contact Shopping
The pandemic of Corona with its known ill effects, has one big advantage of providing a source of income to a large force of youth, esp to persons who lost their jobs due to ill conceived demonetisation and lockdowns (rather Lock-up of youth breadwinners).
These two wheeler borne easy riders, start their day early morn to deliver food and rations in promised 10 minutes assured delivery. For this they don’t mind in displaying their skill in driving crazy on wrong side of the road, as fast delivery is the prime selling USP.
This has been popularised as ‘no contact’ purchase in the COVID scenario. But has somebody realised this misnomer, where dirty (not strictly observing COVID precautions) delivery boys contact (involving touch also) you in person at your residence for the delivery.
And look at the paper work, double packing/ wrappers and security risk of allowing hoards of these deliverers throughout the day from 0530 onwards into your gated colonies. The wrappers are just thrown around, defeating the move to check manufacturers for garbage caused by packing.
Seeing it from the human point of view, these poor deliverymen, mostly youth who lost their jobs during corona, sit whole day on roadside/ under trees, waiting to get orders for delivery. Hunger and boredom tempts them to nibble at the food packets meant for delivery.
