Nothing Says Spring Like Flowers

Walking about the precincts of our dear Hamlet has been more joy this February. The reason for that is the Spring Flowers about. This article is meant as a short introduction to these beauties and a Thank You to our Horticulture Team for getting this done quietly and gracefully like Angels!

The most noticeable blooms are the multi-coloured trumpet shaped Petunias. Petunias are not strangers to those keeping a balcony garden and are hardy survivors even in the hands of inexperienced gardeners and Noida – water.

You can also find many hues of the Dwarf Snapdragon or the Dog-Flower lining our garden paths. To find the Dog in dog-flower, you need to go eye level & close to the plant. Certain level of squinting or intoxication can bring you face to face with the dog (else take my word for it)!

There are also Pansy blossoms about, over the swimming pool walking path in remarkable colours. You can also find profuse Crown Daisy blossoms admittedly reaching end of the season, but still adding great cheer to all near.

Orange Calendulas, Red Salvia & White Sweet Alison add to the beauty of the garden this spring.

We also have some beautiful volunteer flowers here – those that have not been planted by our Horticulture team but have chosen to grow. On this list, you can find the pink – hued Cheese flowers (across T14 among other spots), cheerful yellow Dandelions (snaking about the rockery near T8 in gay abandon) and many a Periwinkle peek-a-booing.

I hope you take out the time to go say hello to these beauties. Remember to thank Team Horticulture for bringing them about!
