Samvada few months back in its January 2023 reported, “In our sector the Noise and dust pollution is maximum on the outer periphery. We are exposed to heavy traffic flowing throughout the day on all sides especially on the Flyway and on the Kailash Hospital side. Most of the residents have probably got used to this so much that they have become dead to the outside noise and they care less how it is affecting their health. At least, in this case the RWCS can take up with the Noida authority to put sound barriers all along the flyway as was done in Delhi on the request of residents of Vasant Vihar.”
We believe Noida Authority has finally planned to install sound barriers along a 4.8 Km elevated road, running from Sec 28 Vishwa Bharti School to Sec-61 crossroads. This will help to reduce the problem of noise pollution in the outer periphery of the sector. This is the first road in the city that will be designated to have sound barriers that will be erected with a gap of 9.6 Km. The project has been assigned to the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) and is estimated to take at least six months to complete. The project is likely to start in June this year.
