In a short span of time, Books For All (BFA) has rapidly gained momentum driven by its founding purpose. This has been made possible by our dedicated volunteers, who tirelessly and willingly serve BFA. Our work has been noticed by individuals as well as Corporates who support our work centred on empowering children, youth and women from underprivileged backgrounds.
Recently BFA was invited by a leading IT major to participate in the Create Change Symposium 2023, held on 21 November. This prestigious event featured some of India’s oldest and most prominent NGOs, and the highlight was a Fireside Chat led by Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi.
During the symposium, Satyarthi Ji shared insights into his journey and the driving force behind initiating the global movement, Bachpan Bachao Andolan. His visit to the BFA Stall left a lasting impression, and he expressed appreciation for our impact on education, particularly through the Wall Hung Library (WHL) project in remote rural areas of India. Satyarthi Ji also conveyed his willingness to help spread the message of WHL, ensuring that deserving schools can benefit from this initiative.
BFA operates as a volunteer-driven organization, warmly welcoming individuals eager to share their expertise with us. Our WHL project gives a unique opportunity for to connect with the school, where one studied, by gifting a Wall Hung Library. This innovative concept, featuring 100 illustrated books, sparks interest among children and promotes a love for reading. Your involvement can make a significant impact in fostering education and literacy.
