No Underage Driving Please!!!

Is it okay to allow underage children to drive cars?

One fine morning, while doing yoga in the park, I heard a thundering sound. We all got scared, rushed to the place from where the sound came and found that a black Audi after hitting two cars, on the right side, crashing them in front of next house, sped away. Next, we saw a person running on the road, trying to chase the car which had hit. The underage girl driver switched her seat and we saw a man driving the Audi turned back, with his daughter sitting on the left seat, telling her, to take it easy. The owners of the cars that were hit stood there waiting for the Audi in the hope to catch the driver.

The Audi owner apologized and promised the damaged car owners that he will bear the expenses of the repairs. The car owners were furious and threatened to take up the matter to court but on persuasion decided not to do so. The cars were immediately given for repairs, as there was a wedding in the family of the owners. However, when the owners asked for re-imbursement of Rs. 65, 000, which was the cost of the damage, the Audi owner asked them to claim from insurance. This led to a tussle and heated exchange after which the Audi owner paid the expenses.

The question is what if someone was hurt. By God’s grace, as it was early morning, there were not many people on that road, not even a vehicle plying on that road. The car owners were considerate enough, not to file a FIR and let it go since both the parties were from the neighbourhood.

But friends, we must learn a lesson from this incident. As a law abiding resident, do not risk others’ lives. We saw a car honking and driving rashly around the park, in the early hours, the other day. For God’s sake don’t risk other’s lives, especially senior citizens & children.

To sum up “It is not okay to allow underage children to drive cars and that too without a valid driving license. Don’t play with your life and put others in danger.”
