Nirvana Country came alive with a vibrant celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day, organized by the Residents Welfare Association (RWA). The event brought together residents of all ages, showcasing a strong sense of unity, patriotism, and community spirit.
The celebrations kicked off with a flag hoisting ceremony at the community grounds. The National Flag was proudly hoisted by Chief Guest S. P. Singh, Harish Kumar Gandhi – President NRWA, Rajesh Gupta – Secretary NRWA, Ravindra Kumar Dadoo Executive Member NRWA, along with Kirti Mohan Naithani with Madhu Naithani and Munish Mehta. The singing of the National Anthem filled the air with a sense of pride and reverence, as a large number of residents gathered to witness this symbolic event. Following the ceremony, attendees were treated to sweets, snacks, and piping hot tea, which fostered a warm sense of camaraderie among the community members.
One of the highlights of the day was the inspiring performances by students from BAGIYA, an NGO and learning center for underprivileged children. The audience was particularly moved by 10-year-old Poonam’s impressive 3.5-minute recitation of the famous poem “Khoob ladi mardaani – Jhansi Ki Rani” by the legendary poetess Subhadra Kumari Chauhan. This was followed by a beautiful rendition of the patriotic song “Sandese Aate Hain” by Adit and AshishKhera.
The Senior Citizens Forum also played a special role in the day’s events. Mr.Naresh Ummat engaged the audience with his spirited rendition of “Hum Honge Kaamyab,” encouraging everyone to join in, while Dr.Pramod Aggarwal’s performance of “Kar Chale Hum” resonated deeply with the crowd.
The meticulous planning and execution of the Independence Day celebrations, led by Rakesh Kunwerand the NRWA team, ensured the day was a resounding success.
The Independence Day celebrations in Nirvana Country not only rekindled the residents’ love for the nation but also strengthened the bonds within the community, making it a memorable day for all.
