It the Annual General Body meeting of the SDF, outgoing president Anupama Bhardwaj expressed her gratitude to SDF residents for their immense support. The meeting commenced with a two-minute silence in remembrance of departed souls. She mentioned several camps held with the RWA for the betterment of domestic helpers and residents. She also appreciated Vatavaran Co-Convener Neelam Gill for addressing the dog poop issue, and thanked residents for donating plants for the campaign ‘Gift, Donate and Exchange Plants’.
Bhardwaj shared her experience with senior citizens, especially the quality time she spent with them. However, she also expressed anguish over unwanted interference by a senior RWA lady in SDF affairs. To maintain the dignity of the safai karmacharis, Anupma honoured the Vatavaran workers by making them sit in her President’s chair in the SDF office and honoured them with a garland.
About the Secretary’s report, Vinay Bhaskar pointed out lapses in gate pass, which were not reviewed both in SDF and RWA. Vinay Bhaskar also mentioned that the Noida Authority has a budget for every Sector’s development, which SDF Samiti should try to access. He highlighted the rampant encroachment in the SDF complex and suggested creating rules and solutions for reference. He also stated that no solution to the parking problem has been found yet.
Mamta Chawla suggested sharing monthly meeting minutes with SDF residents, similar to RWA practice, Mamta also requested a PDF form of the constitution to be shared with residents. Vinay Bhaskar praised the outgoing president for her positive and innovative initiatives. Amitabh Hajela said that her initiatives for senior residents touched his heart. He found several repetitions of expenditures strange, for which Deepak Malik provided clarification. Rajesh Malik mentioned that too much encroachment in the name of greenery should be removed, especially planters on the side of roads. Deepak appreciated Kavita Kharbanda and Srishthi. Sumeet Kharbanda and Sudhir Gupta also expressed their views on community living with positivity and neighbourly bonding.
Mala Mathur expressed her pain, stating that a difference of opinion should not brand anyone as an enemy. Kavita Kharbanda expressed her views that we should all clear any misunderstandings. Bodi Bagga, Vinay Bhaskar and several other residents opposed increase in subscription, later it was put to vote and it was increased. Adv. Shubhangi Pathak and Adv. Abhikalp Pratap Singh declared the new team of SDFRWS: Mala Mathur, alongside Madhavi Mishra, Kavita Kharbanda, BM Bhardwaj, Srishti, Godfrey Pierera, Naval Bansal, Meenal Monica Shukla, Praveen Gupta and Deepak Malik. President Bhardwaj gifted the new team members beautiful plant saplings.
