During the recent election period, the New Friends Co-Operative House Building Society Ltd., under the leadership of President Sunil Bhasin, took an active role in fostering democratic engagement by organising interactive sessions with representatives from all political parties contesting in the Kalkaji Vidhan Sabha.
These one-on-one interactions provided residents with a valuable platform to directly engage with MLA candidates and gain insights into their visions for the development of New Friends Colony. The initiative was widely appreciated, allowing citizens to make informed choices based on the candidates’ commitments and proposed policies.
Engagement with BJP Candidate Ramesh Bidhuri: The meeting with BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri was highly informative. He shared his comprehensive vision for the constituency, detailing his developmental roadmap and emphasising targeted solutions for the most pressing issues in the area. Residents were able to voice their concerns and gain clarity on his future plans for infrastructure, civic amenities, and governance.

Interaction with Congress Candidate Alka Lamba: The session with Alka Lamba, the Congress candidate, was equally impactful. The presence of senior Congress leader Subhash Chopra further highlighted the party’s action plan for New Friends Colony. Residents were assured that, if elected, Alka Lamba would focus on resolving long-pending issues and driving meaningful progress in the locality.

Invitation to AAP party Candidate Atishi Singh: The Society extended an invitation to AAP Party candidate Atishi Singh. However, due to her busy schedule, she could not meet with the residents. The Society remains committed to providing a platform for all parties to interact with the community.
A Vital Initiative for Community Empowerment: Through these sessions, the New Friends Co-Operative House Building Society Ltd. played a vital role in ensuring that the residents had direct access to political leaders, strengthening transparency and accountability in the electoral process. Such engagements reaffirm the importance of community participation in shaping the future of our colony, and the Society remains committed to organising similar initiatives in the future.
