These days one hears of so many stories of neighbourhood tussles and fights. Most of such instances are related to parking, water seepage from common walls, construction noise to mention just a few.
Recently, during the pruning exercise in Gulmohar Park such an un-neighbourly incident happened. After the pruning of a couple of trees the foliage was stacked by the MCD staff neatly along the boundary wall of a park. The lady living in the house across the road did not like the visual of the pruned foliage and threw the entire green waste outside the gate of the house where the tree was located, thus, blocking the access to the house , without any consideration for the residents living in the affected home where a senior citizen with medical condition lives.
The distraught resident called MCD officer for help. The officer came forward and got the foliage removed on priority.
It is a matter of concern to see that our colony is no longer a close knit and friendly neighbourhood. One remembers those good old friendly times with nostalgia.
Also it is unexplainable how people are claiming public land as their personal space by placing heavy planters and no parking signages.
