Something is amiss in our PCPH cluster. And that is to provide senior citizens a place, an excuse to socialize. It is a fact known to everyone that this lot is the most vulnerable when it comes to going through their twilight years. Most of them feel lonely which is not healthy.
There was a very beautiful and practical proposal a month ago to dress up the open mound near the entry gate of PH-1 and put a couple of stone benches and a table there, but it failed to take off. Mr. Ranganath (PH4/ 109) has arranged for 6 benches to be put in sports ground for senior citizens which is a good gesture.
But what he needs to do is to provide another Gazebo besides the existing one near the entrance. Not only that, but I also suggest a Gazebo each in clusters of PC and PH should be provided because it is not possible for the revered seniors to walk a long way to the Sports ground.
Gazebo, because it protects from heat and rain. The seating benches under it should be comfy for senior citizens to sit. Stone can be hard and uncomfortable. So may be wooden benches. Someone, please do something about it.
