Navratri & Ram Navami Celebrations in Shiv Mandir Green Park took place from 26th September to 4th October.
Shiv Mandir was decorated to welcome Mata & Lord Ram Janam. On 20th September Mata ka shingar was brought by about 100 devotees from Chatrapur Mandir with the melody of the band, welcomed by 60 ladies and men. Chatrapur group did Ma ka shingar, served with a sumptuous and heavy meal by the Mandir committee.
Shubharambh of Navratri, Josh bhari Ma ki bhetay with dancing was offered by about 100-120 bhagats , daily from 3 to 5.300m, followed by Prasad vitran. On 3rd October Mandir President distributed special Prasad & Ma ki Moti mala with Ma ka pendant.
From 26 September to 4th October two learned Brahmins offered Durga Saptshati Paath to Maa Durga. Ma ki chowki with big participation took place on 2nd Navratri.
Akhand Ramayan path shubh aarambh was at 9 am on 3rd October. Bhog took place after 24 hours on 4th October followed by Havan. By then it was Ram Janam Shubh Ghadi. Shankhnaad welcomed Ram Janam, the 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu. 60 kanjaks were given Prasad, chunari and ?20/- as dakshana. Braham Bhoj and bhandara added to the celebrations.
Prayers offered to Lord for blessing with peace, positivity and prosperity, completed the celebrations.
