Hindu mythology states that Chaitra Navratri signifies the creation of the universe and the beginning of the world and beings. Goddess Durga was assigned the task of creating the world and thus, this festival is also considered to be the beginning of the Hindu year by many.
The ladies at Regency park 2 celebrated Chaitra Navratri with fervour, enthusiasm and dedication. Some of them volunteered to organize the puja at their respective homes by turn and invited all others to attend. The ladies sang soulful bhajans and kirtan chanting Jai Mata Di with full energy & vigour. On some days, a music group was organized to sing bhajans, however, even the professional singers admitted that the energy of the ladies and the bhajans they sang were unmatched. We thank Ritu Gupta, Sheetal Verma, Pramila Kalucha, Payal, Jyoti & Kavita ji for the beautiful darbar at their homes. Alongside the senior ladies also organized Navratri Puja in the multipurpose hall.
The interesting part of the whole celebration was that there was a sharing of all resources like the file with all bhajans, manjiras and mic systems. The bag containing all the items travelled from one home to the next. All the attendees enjoyed Prashad and Navratri Bhoj. Many ladies had kept fast on all the days and on Ashtami and Ramnavmi, they performed Kanya pujan and completed their puja for Navratri
