Sector had double celebrations of kirtan as two different groups performed kirtans at their houses and one could see a display of great devotion towards Goddess Durga. C block ladies had their own group that performed kirtan for 9 days at different houses. The talent of the group could be seen as some of them played dholak and some were good at singing bhajans and some danced on the bhajans. The organisers beautifully decorate the place where they keep the Durga Maa with garlands, diyas flowers and other decorative products. After arti they offer prasad boxes to all bhaktjans. All of them (30 to 35 ladies) enjoy coming for kirtans. Besides their devotion they get a chance to interact and become close to each other. Another group of ladies of our sector do Devi Stuti and kirtan during Navratri. They also organize kirtan at their houses by calling a professional dholak player and a bhajan singer even though they themselves are excellent Bhajan singers and recite Durga Stuti paath on their own. Besides prasad they also organize food for bhakts who are invited for kirtan. The food consists of big variety of vrat food. They all sing, dance, laugh and enjoy the vrat food prepared for them.
