Celebrations In Lotus Panache

Written by Swati Purohit (T-11/306, 9958352703)

To mark the auspicious occasion of Navratri, members and residents of the Lotus Panache society conducted a 9-day extravaganza from 25th September to 5 Octo-ber. Under the guidance of the members of Lotus Panache Sanskrit Samiti, all the events and functions were celebrated with great pomp and passion.
The mirthful celebration started with the pious “Kalash Yatra”, where ladies carried Kalash on their heads. Everyone was dressed in yellow-coloured traditional dresses and had been groomed exquisitely. All the bright-coloured fabrics made the event appealing. The procession went to the society temple where with proper mantras and rituals the society Panditji performed Gat Sthapana. Various ceremonies like Puspanjali, bhajan Sandhya, and Aarti were conducted every day with great devotion and fervour.
Just like any Indian festival is incomplete without some music and dance. The celebrations in Panache were also lined up with various activities like the cultural program, Mata ki chowki, Bhandara, and everyone’s favourite “Dandiya night”.
Children and ladies performed various cultural programs to entertain everyone. The residents showed great enthusiasm for their participation. There were shloka recitations, bhajan singing, Saraswati Vandana by Sapna (Tower 9 1102) and the group, and a brief skit from Ramayan directed by Rashmi Singh (T9,1303). The evening ended with a grand performance by Shweta (T14) and the group showcasing unity in diversity. The well-decorated arena was also adorned with various stalls serving lip-smacking home-cooked food.
The next evening there was Mata ki chowki – another beloved event of the society where an elaborate stage was set and everyone sang folklores to mark the Jagran.
Residents were deeply synced with the beats of the music and danced to the holy tunes. The whole environment was filled with peace and positivity. On Ashtami, there was Bhandara sponsored by LPSS. The festivities culminated with Ravan Dahan in the society. This festival bought happiness, faith, devotion, and a sense of unity among everyone.
