Navratri Celebrations

Navratri always brings latent energies alive!!! This was evident in this year’s Dandiya-Garba celebrations on 9th Oct at the Shiv Shakti Mandir Park, Sec A, Pocket B&C, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. Amidst a joyful and fun dandiya night, there were two major performances that were presented by the ladies of the colony. One was a brilliant Garba performance by the senior citizens, decorated with Gujrati traditional sarees and beautiful jewellery. And a garba pot in their hands. The audience was thrilled completely at their enormous effort and enthusiasm!!! The second one was a younger group of ladies of the same sector; they also presented a culmination of the garba and dandiya which was enchanting! Their coordination & grace probably enlightened through a vigorous practice of one complete month in spite of their commitments otherwise. The program was organised by the Shri Shiv Shakti Mandir Samiti, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the entire event with dance & various food stalls, including a variety of cuisines including, vrat tikki and pakodas. Overall, it became a memorable event for everyone!!!
