The Navratri festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor at our Radha Krishna mandir. The nine-day long festival was marked by various events and activities, including dandiya raas, kids’ performances, and a grand Ravan Dahan program in the condominium.
The mandir was decorated with colorful lights, flowers, and traditional decorations, creating a festive atmosphere. Devotees gathered in large numbers to worship the divine feminine energy, Maa Durga, and her various forms. A large number of devotees attended the Durga Saptshati Paath held daily at the mandir during the evenings.
The highlight of the celebration was the Dandiya Raas, a traditional Gujarati dance, which was performed with great energy and enthusiasm on the third Navratri. The kids also participated with great enthusiasm; we also had performances, including songs and dances which were a delight to watch.
A small Havan and Bhandara were also organised by the Mandir Samiti on Naumi.
The Ravan Dahan program was the grand finale of the Navratri celebration. A massive effigy of Ravan was burnt outside the club house, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The event was attended by a large crowd, who cheered and celebrated the triumph of righteousness.
The kids of Utopia are quite enthusiastic; they performed a short Ramlila depicting the victory of good over evil.
The Navratri celebration in our complex was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of the organizers, volunteers, and the community. It was a wonderful experience to witness the community coming together to celebrate this significant festival.
