Jai Maa Durga!
Festivals are an integral part of Indian culture. They spread love, brotherhood, harmony and solidarity among the people. The nine-day celebration of Maa Durga- the Festival of Navratras was celebrated with loads of festive fervour at DLF Exclusive Floors from 15th Oct. to 23rd Oct. 2023. The Kalash Sthapna Pujan and Akhand Jyot Prajwalan were performed on 15th October at noon at D-6 Park. Since its inception, the Kirtan Sandhya was executed by the elderly ladies every day followed by Aarti and Dandiya Raas.
It was indeed a visual treat to see elderly ladies singing bhajans to invoke Maa Durga and the youngsters to enjoy Garba and Dandiya with a lot of zest. Every day Prasadam was distributed to the devotees and children. The Mahanavami Celebration was an icing on the cake. A special Bhajan Mandali of four people such as Manju Ji, Gauri Ji, Kamla Ji and Naresh Ji mesmerized the devotees with their melodious bhajans in praise of DURGA MAA along with the beautiful, colourful Jhankis of Radha-Krishan, Shiv-Parvati And Krishan-Sudama which truly enticed the audiences.
To add more flavour to the Navami Celebration, the Dandiya Competition was organised with pomp and show at D 6 Park of Exclusive Floors. The residents participated enthusiastically in the various categories of the Dandiya Competition and won shining trophies for themselves. A list of Dandiya Competition Winners is as follows: Best Child Dancer (Boy) -Bhayam Khandelwal, Best Child Dancer (Girl)- Shreya Anand; Best Teenager Dancers -Kashish Sharma & Avi Sharma; Best Male Dancer- Shogat Bannerjee; Best Female Dancers -Savita Khurana & Shweta Aggarwal; Best Couple – Dinesh Sharma & Sonia Sharma; Best Sr. Citizen Dancer – Raj Turki; Spl Prize Child below 5yrs – Chahat Swaroop; Spl Prize Best Dressed Female- Deepa Chauhan; Spl Prize Best Dressed Male- Sanjay Gupta; Spl Prize Energetic Dancers – Manvi Bhardwaj & Rupal Suparia; Spl Prize Enthusiastic Dancer – Aahan Gupta
To conclude, the whole Navratri Celebration was executed by Neeta Chopra and Deepa Chauhan who worked incessantly to make the celebration a grand success. The infrastructure for the Navratra Celebration was provided by EFOS and the Prize Distribution Ceremony was conducted by the Cultural Committee members along with the President.
Bhandara, the special feature of the Navami Celebration, was organized by Dinesh Verma and Suruchi Verma who served Prasadam to everyone with great devotion. Right from the invocation to Maa Durga to her celebration and subsequent immersion on Bijoyadashmi, all the rituals were performed immaculately and dedicatedly. Let Durga Maa shower Her choicest blessings on us today and always and keep us under her Chhatra Chhaya!
