The central park, commonly known as Nallah Park, has been a basic point of discussion in groups and taken up in every edition of Samvada for the wrong reasons. This is an eight-acre park built on the nallah, which is divided into two parts and was used by morning walkers and residents. However, due to ill maintenance, residents stopped using it, and the park was termed a jungle by residents due to its foliage. On request of RWA and residents, our councillor Anita Sandeep Baisoya instructed the MCD horticulture dept. for immediate action, and thanks to their efforts, the park has been cleaned and is now usable. Personally, I sincerely hope that this process becomes a routine exercise and should not always be demanded by residents. Anita Baisoya also stated that the budget for lights has been passed, and soon there will be lights in the park. Which has been in darkness for the past five years? Lastly, we would also request residents to contribute to keeping the park clean. Volunteer to pick up garbage. Also, residents who take their dogs for a walk in the park should please pick up the dog poo or make their dog defecate before they enter the park. Let’s all aim together to maintain this asset of ours.
