The nallah bridge or the doomed bridge situated towards the railway track and broken down due to heavy traffic flow especially trucks will take at least 6 months for repairs to start as per information received from reliable sources in the department.
To prevent people from using it and only allowing two wheelers to pass through it. The bridge was barricaded by huge boulders on either side.
Slowly, people using it started moving the boulders with the help of jeeps and manually (it takes about seven strong men to move one boulder) that space for even cars to pass was made.
The bridge in question cannot sustain the weight of a four-wheeler and any day it would collapse.
Thanks to the efforts of Sandeep Baisoya, PWD dept and our very own crane man Shammi Chaddha these blocks were secured together leaving enough space only for two-wheelers to pass.
To make it more non movable Sandeep got them soldered together with iron rods so that they cannot be moved.
Hopefully the bridge opens soon and the inconvenience caused to people using this stretch gets relieved.
