One Wednesday evening I happened to go to Aurobindo market from the main road side where I had to navigate a high pavement without any support system. I waited for two minutes to think if I should take the risk of high jump! Suddenly I was confronted with an old bent beggar walking with a wooden danda. I looked up to see who he was till he offered me his support. I was flabbergasted and politely declined. I do not know what happened that I turned back within a minute and accepted the priceless offer and thanked the donor profusely. He smiled and left.
This incident has left me speechless and flabbergasted. Should I take it as a human gesture from an already debilitated soul or a signal from Nature that it is high time to accept that aging process has started and it should be greeted gracefully or you cannot afford to laugh at anybody’s debility. Time can take a turn anytime.
Or should I interpret it as dependence of human beings on each other, or is it a combination of all options cited above ?
