Mindful Wandering – to awaken our senses for better mental health.
We are aware that high-stress lifestyles contribute to poor mental health and are marred by chronic lifestyle diseases. People are at risk of isolating themselves or they resort to quick serotonin boosts before understanding themselves better. Having worked in the corporate sector for over 25 years and witnessed several cases of anxiety and depression in the workplace, I realized there is a need to connect people with nature for better mental health.
My venture is to reintroduce these stress-ed people especially women to the benefits of nature for wellness. Guided walks through forests and national parks, hiking in the woods and consciously observing birds and animals and local vegetation. Organized farm visits, picking vegetables and fruits, and petting farm animals are some other activities planned besides connecting and sharing stories with others.
We offer guided retreats in nature – supported by a team with an excellent background in wildlife conservation, project management, communication and sustainable travel. We want to help people declutter their minds, pause and take time for themselves. We promote active listening by opening the senses – hear the silence of the woods and smell the leaves and crisp forest air – We take care to help you come back rejuvenated and re-motivated.
I have taken a pause from the corporate world and have begun my second innings with a slow journey of collating experiences and taking along like-minded individuals on an immersive experience to connect with our environment. What better way than to hold our first retreat in the amazing valley of Kashmir!
Watch out for this new platform – Mindful Wandering – to connect women (especially stressed-out corporate souls) with nature, and help them bounce back with greater vigour and inner calm.
