Over the course of my recent month-long holiday, I had the incredible opportunity to explore various destinations in the South of India, including Chennai, Isha Foundation, Pondicherry, and Wayanad. One of the most memorable experiences was my visit to the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. There, I immersed myself in the serene environment and learned invaluable techniques for mastering the art of controlling one’s mind, leading to a profound sense of inner peace. It was truly a transformative experience, akin to focusing one’s mind on a single point, much like the legendary Arjuna, and achieving a state of ultimate tranquility. Moreover, I strongly believe that holidays offer an ideal opportunity to delve into diverse cultures and absorb their developmental aspects. During my travels, I was struck by the remarkable level of education and humility displayed by the people of South India. Their commitment to civic responsibility was truly inspiring. I couldn’t help but observe the stark contrast to certain aspects of my own society, particularly in Delhi, where these values are often overlooked. This realization has motivated me to consider how we can integrate these positive attributes into our own community. In essence, my holiday wasn’t merely a time for leisure and enjoyment; it was a profound learning experience that broadened my horizons and enriched my understanding of different cultures and their societal contributions.
