Cultural activities are an important part of the ARWA programmes to nurture community bonding and interactions. A grand musical evening – “Ek Shaam Mastani.” was organised on Sunday, 20 May by the ARWA, Sector A, Pocket C, with the support of the RWA Team of Pocket B.
This programme conceptualised and coordinated by Madhavi Kumar, Jt Secretary, ARWA was a big success. The programme was graced by our MLA, Naresh Yadav and Rajesh Panwar, Chairman of the Federation of RWAs of Vasant Kunj.
The highlights of the evening were performances by our senior resident Capt. Sanjay Gahlot and his band, who are consummate musicians and the very talented singer Sangeet Sharma.
The evening was beautifully hosted by Shruti Sharma. Gifted children and Senior citizens enthralled and regaled the audience with songs and instrumental music. Enthusiastic participation by the audience encouraged the artists. There were stalls for mouth-watering snacks and food prepared by home cooks. But no event can become successful without the participation of the residents who came and enjoyed the programme and encouraged the local talent. ARWA has plans to organise such cultural events on a regular basis.
