Trinitians celebrated their monthly musical program, this time with a tribute to the legendary singer Mukesh on his 100th birth anniversary. On the second Saturday of the month, which is the fixed day for the musical evening in Trinity, the theme was for paying tribute to Hemant Kumar, Mukesh and Rafi Sahab.
It was a full house with more than 75 audiences celebrating the event with nostalgic performances of 12 Trinitians on the Bollywood songs sung by three legends.
The key performers were Rajan Misra, Swadesh Chadha, Shailendra, Sonali Misra, Tapan, Susmita Misra and Soniya. Tower A also performed a group song on Mukesh ji’s immortal song ‘ek din bik jaayega maati ke mol’.
Program anchoring was done by Rajan Misra and he was very articulate in his introduction of the performers as well as the stories which he told about the legendary singers. Samosas and tea were also arranged by fellow residents.
Overall a mesmerising experience and a full paisa vasool show. Our Stars of the show were Sonali and Tapan, youngsters who infused a lot of enthu and excitement with their powerful performances.
