Seniors enjoyed a session of Antakshari with competitive spirit and enthusiasm like school children.
The monthly meeting of GJCSCF held on 27th No-vember at Gulmohar Club 4pm onward started with welcome address of the forum’s President Mr. Y.Sahay. He welcomed the new members and introduced them and thanked them for joining the forum.
Mrs. Madhu Bhandari the cultural co convenor informed that today the seniors are going to show their talent and memory of film songs as there ‘ANTAKSHARI ‘competition is scheduled for the day.
She dividend all the present members into two groups and the field was open for all participants. It was a very entertaining, competitive, interesting event where each group wanted to win. All members of each group was active, helpful and contributing with a competitive spirit. It seemed that seniors are well versed, knew and could recall many songs old and new so no group was ready to be defeated and the competition of ANTAKSHARI ended in a draw.
Mr.Y.Sahay chose four members, two male and two female members who are real singers with their melodious voice, knowledge of sur, taal and rhythm. Mr. Vimal Bhan, Mr.Vijay kumar Sharma, Mrs. Shashi Bhardwaj, Mrs Malvika Thakur. They were asked to present solo songs. All of us enjoyed the beautiful songs of the sixties and seventies.
Mr. Azad presented token gifts and it was followed by cutting of cake, mouthwatering patties, tea and pleasant chit chat among members.
