Members Enjoyed A Luncheon In Sunny Courtyard
GJCSCF held its last monthly meeting of 2022 on 27th December at Gulmohar club ‘s Court Yard 12.00pm onward. A record number of members attended the meeting.The meeting started with the welcome address by the President of the forum Mr. Y.Sahay. He gave a brief account of last year’s activities and informed that the forum is progressing, a large number of new members joined and after covid it is organizing medical talks, cultural events and many more activities in which our members are participating regularly and launch of e Magazine is our most awaited achievement Mr.Sahay informed the house that the Chief Guest honorable MLA Mr. Som Nath Bharati and guest of honor Mr. Kamal Bhardwaj will be delayed as they are engaged in attended another meeting.
The stage was taken by Mrs. Madhu Bhandari the Co Convenor of Cultural activities of the forum. Mrs.Madhu with her unique way of managing and presenting events informed the house that today all members will enjoy TAMBOLA. After distributing tickets she explained the rules of the game.There were many questions and queries which were explained and all played and enjoyed.
After Tambola Mrs Madhu Bhandari suddenly announced that all the members please stand up. All of us assumed that the announcement was for the Chief guest’s arrival. But surprisingly she along with Mrs. Pushpa Mishra, Mr. Bhan and Mr.Bhalla took round and reaching back in her seat she said there is surprise. Again all of us wondered what it could be. After some dramatic moment she announced that there is a surprise prize for best dressed Female and Male member. One for each. PRIZES AND SURPRISES are always exciting. So there was excitement and all of us wondered who it could be. She announced that the winner of best dressed woman is Ms.Kanta joshi. It was a surprising moment for me as all women were nicely dressed, looking smart and beautiful and really it was very difficult for judges to choose one. As I was the only one with gray hair and stick in hand so it was an extra bonanza. The best dressed man ‘s award went to Mr. Naresh Bhandari. There was some confusion Mr. Bhandari and the first runner up received it jointly. That was followed by the cutting of cake. All birthday boys and girls received their birthday gifts.
Mr.Somnath Bharti the MLA was welcomed by the President, Mr.Sahay with garland and stole. Mr.Saluja General Secretary garlanded to Mr Kamal Bhardwaj the newly elected Councillor of the area and presented him a stole similarly Mr.I.Bhardwaj welcomed Madame Councillor of Malavinagar ward. Mr.Som Nath Bharati honourable MLA appreciated the forum ‘s activities. Thanked all the voters of Gulmohar Park for supporting him and hisparty in MCD election. Mr Kamal Bhardwaj the newly elected Councillor of the area assured that he will be always available to help and solve any problem regarding the MCD or seniors. Mr. Y Sahay thanked the honorable guests and presented them a memento. That followed by mouth watering delicious lunch of aloo paratha, curd, salad and pleasant chit chat among members All enjoyed a sunny afternoon.
