Modifications in the Working Will Make Payment Thru Club 26 Smart Card Hassle Free

As SMART cards at Club 26 are adding value to recover some dues from the members who were enjoying the facilities without paying the dues; it has also caused lot of grief to Members especially in the restaurant.

As Sagar Singh Rajpal entered the club restaurant, the person at reception Shiv Karan Singh asked to get the smart card issued. They informed him that they had applied for it almost 2 months ago, but the card has not been issued. Since the membership was in the name of his father, Mr. Shiv insisted on getting a temporary card issued with a minimum of Rs. 3000 deposit. Mr. Sagar gave his credit card, and the transaction was done for Rs 30,000 instead of 3,000. He was not clear how many zeros are there in 3000 vs 30,000. This is the level of a person at the main counter. Then he insisted on keeping the overcharged balance and using it for the future. Mr. Sagar refused and asked for a transaction reversal. Then after a lot of time some other person cancelled it and the transaction got void.

Then even after waiting for 30 minutes, nobody came to take food orders. Finally, a waiter came and asked for the card before taking the order. Waiter was told that the man at the counter is making it and the waiter switched to other customers without even telling anything and never came back. Mr. Sagar’s little kids were hungry, and they finally decided to leave the restaurant. When Mr. Sagar told Mr. Shiv about complaining to Khosla ji, he started apologizing.

Apparently, this is not the first such incident. A similar situation had arisen last month too.

Our respected CLUB President Rakesh Khosla Ji took cognizance of the situation and fined the caterer Santosh Mishra Rs. 10,000 for this incident and Rs 5,000 for the previous incident. Not only that fine was imposed on the caterer, he suspended 1 staff and he also offered compensation with 1 complimentary dinner to Mr. Sagar. Ensured he gets his money back in a timely fashion and the membership card was sent to Mr. Sagar’s house.

To solve frequent restaurant problems, Club President took the following steps:

1. You will not be asked to recharge your card during your having dinner or drinks etc. You will need to settle your bill at the end after suitably recharging. However, you need to have positive balance in your SMART Card before you order else you will not be able to use services.

2. One more separate billing counter has been set up. This will improve the services and reduce the waiting time for waiter to come and take your order. Besides, 2 more hand devices for use by Waiters have been made operational. This will also make the serving time a lot quicker.

With these modifications in the software, payment thru smart card will be absolutely hassle free for our members.
