Popular among residents as people’s leader, MLA Somnath Bharti recently organised a unique lunch meeting with all the RWA’s and MWA’s of ward 150 (SJ. En-clave Green Park, SDA and Arjun Nagar- Humanyupur) post Elections. After resuming the charge as VC DJB Bharti ji has become too busy so regulalry meeting the residents of his different Mohalla Sabha’s is not feasible. That is why he decided to keep this informal meet with all the eminent members of the society.
The main purpose of this important meet was to share his vision for the coming years and his dream of making his constituency as a model one. He also invited suggestions from residents on various issues like Rain water harvesting, anti encroachment drive in colonies, making comprehensive list of pot holed roads, queries regarding functioning of CCTV cameras installed by Delhi Govt in all the colonies, security issues, MCD relates issues, development of parks and other infrastructural improvements within his constituency. A power point presentation of the works done by him over the years as well as the vision of Hon’ble CM to supply potable water to all the households 24×7 was presented .
Bharti ji also briefed the audience about the systematic improvements that he has already started at war footing after resuming the charge as VC DJB. The laying out ofnew water pipe lines and sewage lines is going on at full speed in his entire constituency. He talked about installing flow metres in water pipe lines so that the djb authorities know exactly how much water is being supplied to a particular area and which area is getting lesser flow of water resulting in water shortages. This monitoring will be of tremendous help in managing water crisis.
Clean Yamuna is the mission which he is very seriously taking up with djb. After thanking the residents for joining him in large numbers Somnath Bharti opened the house for Question Answer session. All RWA’s and MWA’s expressed their pleasure and satisfaction over the works being carried out in his tenure and appreciated his approachability. It was a very successful event followed by delicious lunch served by the MLA and Councillor Sarita Phogat.
