MLA Councillor Panchshila Park WhatsApp group was created on 5th December 2023. Prominent members include Saurabh Bhardwaj, MLA, Greater Kailash constituency and Saurabh Jakhar, MCD councillor from Chirag Dilli and members of the team looking after Society affairs namely Ms. Brinda Singh, Ms. Ragini Mathur, Ms. Sharmila Sood, Mr. Jasjit Singh and Capt. Paintola.
It is a great initiative of the government authorities to connect with the residents and Society of Panchshila Park and to directly address their issues using this medium.
The group was introduced on 8th January to the colony in the Panchshila Society WhatsApp group and, at the time of going to press, it had 124 members.
It is a useful forum where issues by residents can be put directly before the authorities. Even the MC is making good use of this forum in putting data backed issues for corrective action.
Main issues raised in the group include missing manhole covers, pruning of trees and seeking geotagging support.
